We have turned things up a notch here business wise. I have gotten real down and dirty serious about my goals, dreams and where Twinkle Lily is headed.
So for the next few months there will be some fine-tuning on all my products, which will be contracted out (I hope sooner rather than later).

December 1st marks our 1 year anniversary of being open Woohooo! So the whole month will be dedicated to specials (a different special each week), plus release of Winkles (only cover will be sold so far - still working on the W-I-O), Sheepish Grins Lanolin products coming too.

My Baby Nephew (and my guinea pig!)

At only 2 weeks old and a small 3.2 kgs.

This is my new snappiable fitted nappy for newborns........having gone through pooexpolsions I just think newborns are best suited to fitteds and a cover.
Beautiful baby bamboo terry with soft bamboo velour inner and a 2 layer bamboo fleece soaker (hidden). They will also come with a lay in or snapin booster (haven't decided yet).

Haven't decided ona release date yet...I have the Winkles coming out December 1st.
Also new and coming soon Snappi's for my snappiable nappies, and some fab. punkin bootie products!

Winkles

I finally have so time to blog! I don't think I had a day off from sewing since mid August, having to stock up for the GDUNH and being landed with 2 big wholesale orders at the same time.

The hunt went good, finally getting some recognition for my nappies (I love my M/L's) and starting to see some reviews out there which is great.

Also just passed was the City of Casey Cloth Nappy Expo which was a fabulous experience for me and really has inspired me to do market stalls and more expo work.

It just astounds me how (I reckon 90% of Australia) people have no idea what MCN's look like. It would be great to do a MCN WAHM community type thing and broadcast over tv and radio to start getting people to know that their choices don't have to be disposables.

To finish up (I have a small order needing attention :) ) my Winkles previewed at the expo and had really good interest but I just had to keep telling people they weren't for sale yet which is a bummer.
Here's a sneak preview

The shell of the nappy is made from O-Wool (100% organic merino wool) dyed in eco friendly dyes and a snap in booster of bamboo fleece topped with the most luscious bamboo velour I have ever come across! There is a contrasting engraved size snap so no itchy labels.

Well I have done extremely well with my heavy wetting nappy - especially for older bubs who tend to be skinny legged but have a protruding stomach. I'll try and get pics of my boy in a nappy soon - absolutely no gapes nor wing droop.

I have been inundated with wholesale orders to the point where I can't cope on my own anymore...so this week I am getting some samples made and quotes for prices.....ahhh then some me time and maybe some decent sleep.

These nappies were made up for a lady who supported me way before Twinkle Lily opened. She was a gem to deal with and entrusted me to make her these from fabric she bought elsewhere.

I am very pleased with how they have turned out.

My samples

Finished my samples for Japan. These will be tested/tried out prior to wholesaling my nappies.

So far the floral M/L size is 100% perfect. Waiting to hear my final feedback on size/fit for the S/M

And best of all, it's a super dooper 10 layer absorbancy and still quite trim.

Have found a superb lady in NZ who owns little buttons, so all my print pul will be coming from there.

And I have managed to land the job of retailing Frugi (formerly cut 4 cloth) organic clothing. Have just placed my first order, I wish I could've ordered more!

I should now get back to doing some housework :(

Testers again :(

Bahhhhh....I think I've made a huge mistake! My tester nappies arrived from overseas and even though they are organic bamboo velour and soooo soft, I sent out some for testing while I was testing myself for the first time. As I was at my mums place, I forgot to bring covers, so had the boys just in the nappy with both trifold and doubler.....and OMG MASSIVE wing droop (which is never usually a prob. for us) and looked so bulky, so wide in the crotch

I am going back to my successful lot of testers with a S/M (which is being tested again) and my M/L which was a great hit. Once done......then I can do my minkee nappies I've always wanted. And start doing some embroidered stuff, have started a great collection can't wait to use them.

Wool wool wool....I am dreaming about a new wool reversible pad....but the wool I want can only be purchased in 1000m lots...whoa bit steep for me. Why is it sooo hard to find good 100% wool fabric in reasonable wholesale lots?!!
